Oh! Remember when it rained . . .

. . .those words sung by the amazing Josh Groban,
an amazing spring rain,
two amazing people,
and Lowe's parking lot

EQUAL

an (yes I'm using the word again) amazing night.
Michelle and I went to pick Alaura up from work
and decided to play in the rain while waiting.
Tragically my camera was left home . . .
along with Cyri and Erika . . .
but we captured the after.
Lowe's will forevermore hold a place in my heart.

20/52

Thursday was again my day off.
Alaura and I got Happy Meals
because who doesn't love them?
My mom, dad, and I can attest to a time
when they boosted me up while shopping.
Then that night we had fondue.
Here is the set up.
I made the actual cheese dip.
Thanks Alaura for helping.
We had apple juice as they drink in Switzerland
where fondue is popular.
And we struggled some with what to dip.
For the future: what do you recommend?
Yum it was good!

Saddening Sprinklers

Lately I've decided to take every opportunity.
When I see something that looks exciting or fun
I do it.
Be spontaneous.
No regrets.
No thoughts or waiting to do it the next time.
I mean what if there is no next time.
I want to live today . . . not tomorrow.
Because if you wait for tomorrow to do everything
you just end up with a lot of empty yesterdays.
Anyway. The story?
Today Alaura, Michelle, and I ran some errands.
One stop was the library.
Outside the doors there is a circle garden and
when we arrived the sprinklers were on.
We decided to run through them.
Just as I was about to enter the wet spray
with the others following me close behind.
They shut off.
We all said "Noooooo!"
The people coming out of the library just stared.

Although spontaneity doesn't always work.
You get a story out of it every time.

Of Pizza and Facials and Friends

I L-O-V-E my friends.
Last night we got together and made pizza
watched a movie
caught back up with each other
(granted I see most of these girls often AND I love it)
and gave ourselves facials.
Of course a night like this is accompanied by fantastic photos.
Family photo?

Yum! Pizza.
Facials! Oh Facials . . .
Whether you think so or not
This provides a glimpse of what happiness looks like.

19/52

I heard a rumor once.
I still believe it's true and one day will see it
with my own eyes.

This rumor is that Swan Lake in Idaho
is covered in swans during early spring mornings

Thursday Alaura and I went to find it.
Turns out . . .
I can find the town but am unsure of the location of the actual lake.
Is it the body of water next to the highway?
Behind a mountain?
Something that simply looks like a flooded field?
Needless to say.
We saw a few swans in the last one but it was too far away
for the full splendor.
We had fun anyways and have NO regrets
about our 4:30 am road trip.
We found a boxcar and Alaura fulfilled her dream
of getting her picture in one.
We discovered this site looking for the lake
(notice it's light outside . . . yeah we looked for a while).
The area where the Bear River Massacre occurred.

18/52

I love guacamole (guac as I call it)
So we had a party.
We watched Leap Year and ate it.
As you can see we all like different amounts . . .
and Kendra's might be a little exaggerated for photography's sake.

I love this little tune.

Especially considering the weather the past few days.

Reaction to Life

Remember when I wrote about being so frustrated?

I do.

And I did when a kid in my ward bore his testimony Sunday too.

He said:

"I find it hard to get frustrated with life.
When I know there is a God watching over it all
Directing me.
I do however get frustrated with how I react to life."

While I know being frustrated is a choice
This opened my eyes.

It's ME deciding to react this way.
I am ok.
A loving Heavenly Father has huge influence in my life, everyday.
And he's leading me just as he has promised.
It makes me think of the Tapestry of Life poem.
You know. The one where if we could see how everything that happens
is woven together to make a beautiful picture.
God CAN see.
And not only that he knows us and our potential.
Trust in Him is key.

This also reminds me of the Touch of the Masters Hand poem/song.
We need to notice Him in our life.
We need to let Him be a part of our lives.

Things happen.
Sometimes they are just what we want,
Sometimes they can be fixed easily,
and sometimes they require effort and positive thinking
to be dealt with.

All in all.
Life is good.
Life is a blessing.

And each day has the promise of hope.
And one you chose hope. . . .

Anything is possible.

That's not written as well as I had hoped it to be.
But I hope it's good enough to communicate what I know.
And also a plug, I sadly forget things I know sometimes
If it's along these lines - help me remember.
Thanks.

17/52

Last Friday - I studied a little.
Then Amy, Amy, Alaura, and I
(wow I always seem to be the odd one out
with the first letter of my name)
went to Indian Oven and enjoyed a delicious meal.
YUM!

Pictures to come of the night.

Then we enjoyed us some Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.
