I just logged on to blackboard to study for a test.

and for the first time I I noticed a goals tab for this class.

I clicked it.

And this is what it said.

Goals
There are currently no Goals.

Perhaps that's my problem.

Photo Update.

Last week I got the chance to chill with some pretty great girls.
Sadly I never took the camera and captured this years adventures.
They got a few though.
And I am sure I have a ton of video footage as well.
So here are some pictures from our time together . . .
Counting to two or bein' cool?
So EXCITED!
Ok . . . sadly these are really the only ones captured,
the others are in video form.
but here are some
that I found on my camera randomly. :)
Should I list some of the ways I love my sister?
1. She takes great photos of herself.

2. She isn't afraid to sing very loud.
3. She isn't afraid of anything,
especially with ATS by her side.

4. She might not kill me for this post. . . we'll see.

Last week I got to go home and see BHS's show
"Annie Get Your Gun."
Adam and Shayna were in it and it was phenomenal.
I enjoyed it immensely.
Alaura was kind enough to drive me down (Thanks again).
While there I also got to see Stephanie!
Happy Days.
We tried to get a good picture
(this one is ok I guess)
. . . and my camera died.

Just a tad bit fRuStRaTeD.

So in college they have these people called advisers.
They are here to tell you about what classes to take,
what you can do with you major,
and other "useful" things.
Mine even mapped out all of my semesters for me,
each appointment to keep up to date.
Well I was just looking at my schedule for fall
to see if I would have time to breathe.
And guess what I discovered?
Two classes at the SAME time.
Yup my last year of school.
I e-mailed her for solutions and she just asked questions
and then never replied to my reply.
I know it's not entirely her fault but it's *frustrating nonetheless.
Summer Physiology class?
Ugh.
But it just might be true.
.
.
.
*frustrated:
1. to make (plans, efforts, etc.) worthless
or of no avail; defeat; nullify.

2.to disappoint or thwart (a person).
.
.
.
.
.
p.s. if any of you discover a time turner that
resembles the one in Harry Potter
please let me know A.S.A.P.

Hasten Frequently . . .

. . . .a.k.a Rushmore.
Here are some more pictures from our adventure.
I like this picture a lot.
Here is a shot of the Mountain.
The carvings are amazing.
They are super detailed,
i.e. George's cravat and jacket, Teddy's glasses, and Abe's beard.
So cool.
Here is Michelle, Alaura, and I in front the greatness.
And a close up of just us.
After our visit we headed home
And we stopped in Rawlins, Wyoming for the night
and ate steak at Stanfods. YUM!
(This was kind of a pre-Alaura's birthday. Happiness.)
The next day we stopped at the scenic overlook of Bear Lake.
I found a finger made of snow.
I thought it was pretty cool.
Gorgeous, ay?
And here is a comic. Telling a real story.
About us needing to stop and get the ice off the wipers so I . . .
oh perhaps just read the comic. It's pretty detailed.
Oh but swerve is somewhat synonymous
with take foot off break and get control of vehicle and steer again.

Strange smells

So last night I spent an hour trying to figure out a BAD smell,
coming from our heater vents with my roommate.
It was horrible.
So much so we decided to check on the boys downstairs
and make sure none of them had died.
They didn't answer the door,
but here is the texting conversation we had.
Us: This is upstairs. We're making sure everyone's safe?

Boy: Everyone's safe from what?

Us: The gases seeping into our apartment.

Boy: Wow. Is it really bad? What's going on?

Us: There's a strange smell coming from our floor vents
that we can't place. Wanted to make sure you weren't dead.

Boy: Everyone's alive. Thanks. Well just open the windows.

Us: Good to know. Glad everyone's alive. Perhaps a mouse died.

Boy: Perhaps.

Don't worry they watch out for us too.
Once while at church,
these same boys asked if one of us had fell in the shower.

we hadn't.

awkward.
Oh the joys of living in an apartment complex.

In my dreams . . .

I have a lot of thoughts in my head right now
I also don't think they will all be coming out
However I did just read another blog
that I want to share a story from.

"As we stopped off the side of the road to take some scenic pictures the next day, another car had parked 50 feet or so away from us. Two men got out of the car and began unloading their road biking gear. As we looked around at the scenery, I turned around in time to see the two men on their bikes begin climbing the fairly steep road up the canyon. I smiled and called out, "you're braver souls than I!"
One biker man smiled and called back out,
still pedaling, "You could do it too!"

I snorted and countered, "Yeah right! In my dreams."

Then the biker, almost out of earshot, called out without looking back,
"So dream!""

now granted not all of us WANT to ride a bike up a hill
but how many things that we might want to try
that there's an inkling of desire to experience
do you we say, "only in my dreams" to?

I vote we all take this advice and Dream.

11/52

So I didn't capture any photos on my camera.
But I did take some on Alaura's
so I will have some soon.

Here is a look at the beginning of our trip to Mt. Rushmore.
On the road. Finally.
We stopped for shakes in Bear Lake. Yummy.
Chevron going into town has the best fyi.
We spent the first night in Rawlins, Wyoming.
It snowed. So Alaura and Michelle cleaned off the car.
Here's me at the same time.

Then we made it to Custer that day
where we swam, ordered pizza, roamed the cute little town,
and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Then Saturday morning we glimpsed this.
And that is where this post must end due to a lack of photos.
So more photos and stories to come.
Be excited.

*sigh*

My friend Katie recommended it to me months ago,
I bought it for Christmas for me,
Shayna read it twice within two days,
Many of my neighbors borrowed and read it,
My roommate read it,
I started it yesterday and would have finished
if not for wonderful company dropping in.
And today at work I finished it and it was fantastic.

This is it:

Toothbrushing parties!

I have this co-work Bethany.
She is pretty much amazing.
We spend most of our time working together laughing.
(yes i am on the phone in this picture, just for a moment)
And I have this friend Nick,
who i also laugh with a lot.
Thursday I got to see them both while we enjoyed Scotsman Dogs,
and caught up on our lives.
It was lovely adventure.

Samoans and Samoas

Ok so I don't really have anything to say about Samoans,
BUT I LOVE Samoas.
You know the delicious girls scout cookie.
If you need proof of their deliciousness look:
Or you could even go buy some from the Girls Scouts.
(only place you can)

p.s. if you don't like them after you buy them,
please give them to me.

p.p.s. watch for the April 1st adventure of making some.

9/52

This week was crazy!
Exams and due assignments are everywhere
with Spring Break quickly on it's way.
(big smile on my face)
I did get to play though.
And Cody came up Thursday to Saturday morning.
He's a pretty super big brother.
We didn't do all we had planned necessarily
but we did get to see this:
which was very enjoyably wonderful.
And then we got to go to dinner with my Grandpa and Grandma.
YUM and I love spending time with them.
(Thanks Grandma and Grandpa)

Operation ORIP occured last weekend with
these lovely girls.
(Me. Erika, Kathryn, and Michelle).
I like this picture because it took before I thought it
ORIP stands for
Operation Rest In Pieces.
I saw the idea first in my friend Tyson's photos
I just hope people laughed/smiled when they saw our adventure.
(Us with the squirrel that started it all)
It was splendid.
I love my friend.
(Erika with our Skunk . . . boy were we EXCITED to find this)

Enjoyment

Sometimes I find joy in random things.
Like last night.
Tuesdays are my late day
and we sometimes go to Taco Tuesday at Cafe Rio
The line was forever long last night so we got pizza.
When I got home I saw something resembling this:
Yeah overwhelming.
So although I had a ton of homework to due before 9:30 am
and a test to study for, I did them.
I'll admit sometimes I like doing dishes;
it's relaxing but this time there was A LOT.

However not far away in the livingroom was
my roommate Alaura, and friends Brandan and Necia.
They were watching this:
and enjoying a lot.
I really found joy in the feeling of accomplishing something
while listening to the beautiful sounds of their laughter.
I found joy in their laughter while doing dishes.
It was cool.
