Weekends

Oh blessed weekends!
Lately they have been much needed,
and have also REALLY excited me for summer.

This past weekend I got to spend in North Ogden.
I love life there
and we did a lot.

Saturday look at what I did.
Yeah 15 ft. 140 lbs.
I think I'm pretty cool.
I think this face can be contributed to the fact
that snake scales slithering through your hair is
NOT a good feeling!
Neither is having a snake wrap your leg up while that is happening

Then Sunday I went and watched Singin' in the Rain
with my friend Matt and his projector.
Lots of my other friends were there too.*sigh*
I love my connections.
AND I met new people.

16/52

I am going to put two in this week's.

It was Earth Day so Kendra and I celebrated by watching
PLANET EARTH.
I love this planet.
God's existence is made evident by the things around us.
Look at a leaf.
Look at a flower.
Look at a bug.
Look at my friends.

He's there.

I also went to Casper's with Katie, Mary, and Brennen.
Also Lydia, Natasha, and Marlin were there.
I really am surrounded by the best of the best.

15/52

I am going to try and get these weeks right.

I had a picnic.
I don't have access to any of the pictures with me in them,
Or the one I was going to post of the people who joined me,
but it was pretty splendid.

We ate. Flew kites. Threw a flying disk (frisbee).

p.s. pictures will appear shortly i hope.

Hello . . . snow?

Don't worry though . . . it's really not out of the ordinary.
This is kind of sad picture
but it's what happened as of this morning.
Two different kinds of beauty existing at once
not really in harmony
but I guess life is like that
we have two wonderful things on our plates at once
and sometimes they just don't
complement each other like we would hope they would
Then we have to deal with it
and sometimes choose one or the other
Luckily the snow will melt soon,
and the flowers will perk up for the rest of spring.

HAPPY.

I know.
Once again I am behind on project 52
By TWO weeks this time,
and just blogging life,
I'll work on that ASAP,
but I am staying super busy . . .

no worries though,
A LOT of it is having fun.

I can't wait for a summer filled with friend and family
and things like these:

Change the World

Alaura brought this book home from the library the other day
I haven't read much but I really like it.
It's great to be learning things from the book
but do you know what is greater? . . .

Knowing that I have been taught a lot of it throughout life
Not just through experiences
but actually taught it in places like this
I love that I know who I am.
And with that knowledge I know how I should act.

One thing I found to share went something like this

"Don't miss out on the opportunity to be
YoUrSeLf."

It sounds so simple, yet don't we still all forget to?

Have you noticed that while some sunny days are cloud-less,
most days there are some clouds in the sky.
Even on the cloudiest of days, light still reaches the earth.
In life there may be clouds even on the happiest of days,
While we can't always ignore them,
we need to focus on the suns rays.
Life has been really good lately.
My weeks have been filled with all kinds of sun,
friends,
time to relax,
SPRING,
and even school.

At the same time there are feelings of inadequacy,
numbness, and anxiety/frustration.
I know I choose how I feel.
I know how to get through the hard times.
I know who I follow.
I know who I am
(not necessarily everything about me
but I know what to build the foundation on).
I know a lot of truths.
The sunshine has never looked so good.

Just Another Manic Monday . . .

And it was phenomenal!

Yesterday was exceptional!
The sun was shining in the morning.
I actually enjoyed Physics lab.
It was raining when we got out of Physics lab.
Michelle and I sang a little.
And does anyone else LOVE the look of wet sidewalks?
I got just enough time alone at home.
I got a warm shower.
I went to FHE and then to the dollar store with friends.
I got to be in a car that drove down the campus sidewalks.
People do it all the time,
but I don't think just anyone is supposed to. It's fun.

I even got some studying in.
Then I went to this:
With these people:
Yup Ash and Kend.
Ashley . . . but mostly notice the snow in her hair.
Wow.
So good.
And super funny.
I also was able to enjoy some snowballs.
Oh and also we re-enacted a time we went to this same movie theater.
That time to see Leap Year.
A lady in front of us had her hair so much on top of her head
we couldn't see.
So we moved.

Today has also been quite magical. :)

14/52

So there is this thing in my life.
Every weekday it is there.
Some days I love it.
Some days I only sort of like it.
Sometimes people are annoying there
(not my co-workers thank goodness).
And sometimes I have so much fun it's insane.

This place is called work and so I'm featuring it this week.

Today I had my camera and Bethany took some photos.
Workin'
Bethany "workin'"
I tried REALLY hard to make the same face as her.It didn't work so well.
Then we discovered we were out of Kleenex.

Why, yes was a "i love my job" day.

Enlightening Weekend

Can I just say this weekend was superb?
8 hours of wonderful inspired sharing of knowledge from people like this:
I can't wait to read all of it in the Ensign.
If you missed out you can catch up here!
Meanwhile, I read this talk by Elder Uchtdorf from the YW broadcast.

Wow is all I can say.
Although I'm reminded of it all the time,
it's hits you harder some times than others.

Two days of my family.
Remember this post from last year,
Wow it sure doesn't feel that long ago,
and I wish I had taken more pictures this year.

AND celebrating the knowledge of this:

Sorry it's so BIG. Throws my groove off too.
All of these things = Just what I needed.

13/52

When I started this project my aunt,
made sure I knew that I could post a picture of me
with anything in my life . . . like say my computer.
This week I chose my Biochemistry book
We aren't really friends but it represents
what I spent a lot of time thinking about this week.
